Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Finance to support our Critical Infrastructure Sector. This role will serve as a key business partner to sector, program, project, and operations leadership, driving financial performance, optimizing operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Business Operations

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner for the Critical Infrastructure sector, supporting operations, program / project execution, and service delivery teams.
  • Lead the development of financial models, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to evaluate sector performance and provide actionable insights.
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities for the sector, including accruals, reconciliations, and management reporting.
  • Provide financial guidance on pricing strategies and customer contracts in collaboration with program, project, sales, and operations teams.
  • Partner with operations leaders to drive cost optimization, resource utilization, and efficiency improvements across the sector.
  • Support project-level financial planning and tracking, including revenue recognition and margin analysis.
  • Evaluate potential geographic expansion opportunities and provide financial insights to support strategic growth decisions.
  • Assist in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) evaluations, including financial modeling, due diligence, and scenario analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls and streamline operational reporting.
  • Mentor and guide junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and analytical rigor.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Design, program, and maintain advanced financial modeling solutions within EPM platforms such as Anaplan, Pigment, or Adaptive to extend functionality and automate scenario planning processes.
  • Build and optimize driver-based models and sensitivity analyses, integrating complex business logic and large datasets to enable dynamic “what-if” simulations.
  • Develop scalable modeling frameworks and data pipelines that ensure accuracy, consistency, and repeatability of outputs for executive dashboards and reporting within EPM systems.
  • Automate reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of financial insights for leadership.
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting tools, KPIs, dashboards and visualization tools to translate complex data into actionable business intelligence for operational and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role supporting operations or sector-level finance.
  • Strong understanding of operations finance, cost analysis, and project accounting; experience in technology integration, IT services, or critical infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Proven design and programming experience in EPM systems such as Anaplan, Adaptive, and Pigment for analysis, modeling, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with expertise in Excel and financial planning tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and experience with revenue recognition for long-term contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines.
