Overview

 

The Technical Product Manager (TPM) for Electronic Security Solutions is responsible for the full product lifecycle across Vision Technologies’ integrated security offerings — including video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, access control, and physical identity & access management.

 

The (TPM) is responsible for the product lifecycle, from strategic planning and evaluation, to development, launch, and ongoing improvement. They bridge the gap between business needs, user experience, and technical feasibility. TPMs define the product vision, create roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure the product aligns with business goals. They collaborate with various teams (engineering, marketing, sales, channel, operations, etc.) and other stakeholders to drive product success. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision:
  • Define the long-term vision for Vision’s electronic security solutions portfolio.
  • Align security technologies with corporate objectives, revenue targets, and market growth.
  • Lead innovation to position Vision as a technology leader in integrated security systems.
  • Market and User Research:
  • Analyze customer requirements, industry standards, and emerging trends in video surveillance, intrusion detection, access control, and all electronic security solutions
  • Benchmark against competitors and identify differentiation opportunities.
  • Roadmap Planning:
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for electronic security products and services.
  • Prioritize features and integrations based on customer needs, compliance, and business value.
  • Requirements Gathering and Prioritization:
  • Capture technical and functional requirements for solutions such as IP-based video surveillance platforms, advanced analytics, card readers, biometrics, intrusion panels, and identity management systems.
  • Work with engineering to ensure seamless design and delivery of solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with engineering, design, operations, sales, and channel teams to execute security solution development.
    • Collaborate with Marketing to build strong messaging and go-to-market strategies.
  • Product Development Lifecycle:
    • Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and integration with existing solutions and beyond. 
  • Product Launch:
  • Lead launch planning for new security solutions, coordinating technical documentation, sales enablement, and customer communications.
  • Partner with OEMs and channel partners for successful deployments.
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Track solution adoption and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Gather customer feedback to refine offerings and drive continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Communicate solution roadmaps, milestones, and results to executive leadership, customers, and technology partners.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Vision’s electronic security product portfolio.
  • Development:
    • Focus on future product development and ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Electronic Security solutions in the marketplace such as physical identity & access management, integrated video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and access control.
  • Proven track record of building and executing product roadmaps that product customer value and revenue
  • Diverse business experience in a product and project delivery business model
  • Ability to advocate and build consensus for what you believe in
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across different departments
  • Excellent product and project management skills and demonstrated technical aptitude.
