Overview

The Field Install - Operations Manager performs a critical oversight function with the Field - Install Operations personnel related to installation and delivery of low voltage infrastructure projects to include Structured Cabling, Audio Visual, Das/Mobility, and Security installations. They monitor personnel and projects to ensure operations and looks for ways to increase productivity and lower cost. Manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set by Vision Technologies LLC., Field Install - Operations & Project Management Department. Ensure always, that safety guidelines and protocols are adhered to 100% every job shift. They will manage personnel, scheduling coordination, asset and materials control to ensure efficiencies and cost control are taken place in the operations unit. Serve as a company representative on company and customer issues. Assist with enhancing the Vision operational procedures, business processes, management reporting, and looks for opportunities to expand project opportunities. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Vision policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Engaged with long term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals.
  • Coordinating different teams (Supervisors, Foremen, Lead Technicians, Technicians) to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities.
  • Assessing operational budgets to find ways to minimize costs and optimize profits.
  • Recruit, interview, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; assist with the implementation of production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolve problems; complete project budget audits; identify trends.
  • Forecast requirements; review and approvals of operations expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing Vision standards, procedures, and policies, complying with legal regulations.
  • Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing Vision policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for all assigned Field Install - Operations Foremen, Lead Technicians, Technicians, and Vision Partner Personnel (VPP).
  • Meet or exceed (goal is beat budget by 10%) Field Install - Operations labor budget expectations.
  • Manage staff levels, hours, and Vision Preferred Partner (VPP) labor to project budgets.
  • Participate as a point of contact when there is customer issues related to installation, quality & performance issues; customer service issues; accidents and mishaps on site. This includes any issues on site client facilities or construction site projects.

 

  • Communicate customer issues with Field Install - Operations team and devise ways of improving customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints. Vision’s number one focus is “WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE”.
  • Work closely with Commercial/Public PM Director’s, and Field Install – Operations Director to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at project review meetings.
  • Communicate with Vision Safety, Vision HR, and legal counsel to ensure all processes remain compliant Vision safety policy, OSHA, and other governmental regulations.
  • Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives (Vision CFR program).
  • Identifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions to maximize delivery, efficiency, revenue, and profit.
