Overview

The Director of Project Management provides leadership and direction to Vision Technologies Vertical Sector Project Management teams. In this role, you are responsible for delivery of our products and services in a professional manner to all customers. Success is measured by on-time delivery, meeting, or exceeding profit goals, maximizing utilization of resources, and receiving ongoing work and referrals from customers when work is completed. Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and best practices to the Critical Infrastructure Sector Project Management team to ensure objectives are met individually and collectively for the team. Candidate must have the ability to manage, lead, and build strong relationships. This position requires financial and operational experience along with the ability to be a strategic leader.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the revenue growth and profitability of the Vertical Sector.
    • Joint Ownership of the Critical Infrastructure Sector P&L with the Sector Leader
    • Provide coaching and direction to the Critical Infrastructure Sector Project Management team to meet objectives.
    • Review, assign, and manage execution of contracts to 100% completion.
    • Find creative ways to optimize capital and increase operational efficiencies in delivery.
    • Ensure and validate 100% world class customer service and quality for all engagements.
    • Ability to analyze market trends and align service delivery models to meet demand.
    • Sales support from lead development and qualification through the development of bid and win strategies.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of the overall growth strategy to support new market opportunities in all technology offerings.
    • Alignment with key channel partners in support of strategic initiatives.
    • Ensure all assigned OTRs (Objectives, Targets, Results) for the Project Managers are complying.
    • Active participation in continuous feedback and performance management
    • Ensure the Project Managers are in conformance to all responsibilities within the Operational Guidelines throughout the phases of: Presales, Planning, Delivery, Closing, and Post-Installation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience managing senior program managers and entry-level project managers.
    • Operational experience in the delivery of multiple large-scale projects in excess of $10M
  • Extensive experience operating within the transportation, utility, and data center core/shell and TFO vertical markets.
  • Extensive experience operating within the tier of contractors and interfacing with applicable key stakeholders.
  • Existing relationships with major General Contractors (GC’s) who operate in the defined space.
  • Relationships with key Multi-Tenant Data Center end-users is a plus.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules
  • Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization and decision-making

    • PMP /or other Industry certifications are preferred, but not required.
    • 4-year College degree with concentration in Business, Management, Operations, Project Management or similar field. Masters Degree is a plus. Additional work experience is acceptable.
