Overview

We are currently seeking a Onsite Support Specialist that will be a critical member of a U.S.-based global systems integrator providing technology solutions and services for commercial and government clients. This is a full-time permanent role supporting a key client for our program in Washington, DC.

 

Ideal candidate will be broadly experienced providing Tier 1 and 2 support for multiple domains with users locally and remotely, with excellent communication skills and the ability to support VIP and VVIP customers. This position will work with Active Directory and Exchange to create/modify/terminate accounts, as well as troubleshoot workstation, printers, and other peripheral devices. Additional responsibilities include imaging, installing, and configuring workstations and troubleshooting Windows 10 and above and Microsoft Office suite. Candidate should be interested in learning new technology and providing support to the user community.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating and interfacing with customers and Leidos Site Lead on issues and daily tasking.
  • Providing Tier 1 and 2 support for multiple domains with users locally and remotely.
  • Working with Active Directory and Exchange to create, modify and terminate accounts.
  • Troubleshooting workstation, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Imaging, installing, and configuring workstations.
  • Troubleshooting Windows 10 and above, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working with automated Help Desk tools such as Microsoft System Center and ServiceNow.
  • Troubleshooting Citrix desktop visualization environment and thin client.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills and able to work in a professional environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • DHS or other government contract experience
  • Experience working with Secureview
  • Understanding of Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Domain Name System (DNS)
  • Comfortable discussing technical information with users and other support personnel
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and IT concepts
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as an integral member of a team
  • Additional years of experience in lieu of education will be considered

 

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or
  • Master’s degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience will be considered

 

Work Authorization

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance
